Help is a Hindi movie written by Deepak Pawar and Viddesh Malandkar, produced by Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Choksey, and directed by Rajeev Virani. The thriller stars Bobby Deol as Vic and Mugdha Godse as Pia.
Other actors include Shreyas Talpade as Aditya, Sophia Handa as Pia’s best friend Carol, Salim Fateh as Pia’s father Joe Alves, Jyoti Dogra as Pia’s mother Susan Alves, Anaushka Borzeen Dantra as young Pia and Ashoi Borzeen Dantra as Pia’s sister Dia.
The horror flick tells the story of a couple, Vic and Pia. The pair is having trouble in their marriage and things don’t get better when Pia’s father all of a sudden falls ill and they have to go to Mauritius to see him. But little do they know that Pia’s past will come back to haunt her the moment she comes back to her childhood home.
When Pia becomes pregnant, an evil spirit takes possession of her body and proceeds to kill her family and friends. It becomes Vic’s mission to save his wife from what he suspects is Pia’s dead twin sister who has entered his wife’s body and terrorizes the family.
When Vic pays a visit to parapsychologist Adity, he finds out more about Pia’s dark past and terrifying family history. He does his best to get rid of the family’s curse in order to save his pregnant wife. .
Help’s cast and crew shot the movie in Mumbai and Mauritius for 45 days over eight months. "The film has been beautifully shot and I must say it’s one the finest horror films that the audience will see. It’s chilling, gruesome and the kind of horror which gives you Goosebumps. Help will take the horror genre in India to another level,” Bobby Deol told reporters.
Help releases on August 13.
