Looks like the Bachchans are not the only ones to miss out on this year's IIFA Awards in Sri Lanka. Housefull actor Arjun Rampal has also decided to skip the event. The 2010 IIFA Awards are scheduled to take place between June 3 - 5 in Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo, but it looks like the star power will be significantly reduced at this year's event as the royal couple of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will probably not be there.

According to Aishwarya's spokesperson "she is going for a Longines (international watch brand which the actress promotes) commitment to Paris where she will be attending the French open." And while the former Miss World will be away in Paris, her hubby will be in Istanbul shooting his new movie Game.

And now Arjun Rampal is joining the Bollywood band that will miss out on the event. The Housefull actor took to Twitter to tell fans that he would not show up in Sri Lanka: "Will not be going to IIFA, have a charity event in Hong Kong for Raajneeti that day."

As if Abhi's, Ash's and Arjun's absence wasn't bad enough, rumors have it Amitabh Bachchan will not be there either. Big B, who together with his son have been IIFA brand ambassadors for years, might stay home due to the demonstrations by Tamil groups in Mumbai that have taken place outside his house to protest that Colombo has been chosen as the venue to hold the event.
