B-town lovers, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor just couldn’t keep their distance, it’s been confirmed that they will be starring in Ayan Mukherjee’s next movie.

After months of speculation as to which popular actress will be starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the movie, the director of Wake Up Sid has chosen Katrina Kaif over Deeepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma.

A source revealed, ‘Ayan was going back and forth about who to cast in the film. It was a very difficult period given Ranbir's relationship with Kat was on the rocks. They were going through a rough phase and it wasn't clear if they would want to work with each other immediately or take a short break. Ayan's heart was set on Katrina, but he was also considering options.’

It was earlier rumored that Ayan wanted to work with both Ranbir and Deepika, however, this wasn’t the project he was talking about. Nevertheless, to have casted Anushka Sharma opposite Ranbir would have been a fresh pair, but Kat has once again proved she remains the no.1 choice for any B-town filmmaker.



This will be Katrina and Ranbir’s third movie together after, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahaani and Rajneeti. Both have quickly become the hottest on screen pair and whether or not their film works, they are sure to make news for other reasons which will support the promotions of the movie.

The filming is likely to begin in the next few months, in the meantime, let us know whether you think director Ayan has made the best choice to cast Katrina opposite Ranbir for his next venture!
