It's party time for the Rajneeti's cast and crew.  The film did exceptionally well at the box office worldwide.  To celebrate their success the cast and crew held a bash at the Novotel hotel in the posh suburb of Juhu in Mumbai.    All cast members were present except Katrina Kaif !  So where was the Bollywood beauty?  The actress was in Spain of course.   Katrina has been busy shooting for Zoya Akhtar's film Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, in Barcelona.

Katrina planned on attending but due to weather conditions couldn't fly out of Spain.  Unfortunately Kat was missed by the cast as well as the press who eagerly stood alongside the red carpet to interview the stars of the film.  Ranbir Kapoor however kept the momentum up in Katrina Kaif's absence.  The actor was all smiles on the red carpet as he answered questions and took photographs for the press. His parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were also in attendance to lend their support to Ranbir on this very special occasion.

Prakash Jha's film Raajneeti is a political thriller that was filmed in Bhopal. The movie deals with Indian politics and concentrates on Indian democracy and elections. The film illustrates unstoppable ambition and how it can lead to violent battles. Ultimately the film is about people who understand power and how to use it.

Raajneeti tells the story of several political candidates' lives and goals during elections in India. Desi Hits! spoke to the film's producer, Prakash Jha, who told us that the inspiration for his latest political saga was India's political system and its complexity: "I want to understand the methods of democracy we are all affected by, so we're trying to do that, it's a great political saga, India being the largest democracy in the world with families, individuals and ideologies that come into play, and the movie tries to tell that story," Jha said.
